Breath Symphony + A Change to Mondays

Hello, I’ve returned.

I’m managing to keep from spreading myself too thin, but it is taking work.  Things that are out of my control are beginning to pile up, leaving a snowballing effect.

That’s why I’ve resolved (at least until the end of the year) to change the type of things I post on Monday.  For now, I will be posting two poems a week.  At the beginning of next year, I’ll be back to the variety typically provided on Mondays.

Thank you for understanding.  It’s easier for me to write poetry than anything else, and right now, poetry is what I need to be writing.  It’s become a bit of catharsis for me.

Alright, and on to the first Monday poem.  This was actually a longer poem that I condensed.  (By a lot.)  It works better smaller in my opinion.  Though I did dispose of the original, longer one, meaning I can’t show you how it evolved.  So … sorry about that.

Anyways, here you go.  ❤

Breath Symphony

Can you feel the pause
music takes, the deep
inhale? It’s there, hiding
behind every song, behind
the steady drum beat
trapped behind lyrics that lost
meaning. The music
is breathing—it’s alive
and beating with
time.

Thank you so much for reading.  I really appreciate you.

Have a lovely day! ❤
